Monique is a certified personal trainer who works with women middlescence and beyond who want to improve their balance.
As a life-long athlete, Monique decided to share her love of movement and fitness when her youngest child started school. Seventeen years ago, she took the plunge and created her own personal training business. It did not take long for her to realize that her compassion and patience allowed her to work well with adults middle age and beyond.
Over time, she realized that many clients came to her after a fall. Some were injured, others were not, but all were afraid of falling again. Monique developed expertise in creating client-specific exercise prescriptions that successfully helped them regain their confidence and strength to move their bodies efficiently and to live a vibrant lifestyle.
Monique did have a lingering feeling that she could help more people and when COVID forced her to stop and reflect, she decided to expand her business virtually and launch Monique de la Cour Health & Fitness, an online personal training platform focused on helping women over 50 improve their balance.
Monique grew up in the Netherlands but later moved to New York City where she worked in corporate settings and graduated from The New School with a degree in psychology.
She has two young adult children and lives in South Orange, New Jersey. Besides being physically active, she likes to meet new people and promised herself to learn one new thing every day.
