Join our fabulous group of ladies for profound monthly discussions of great contemporary literature. This month we're reading The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. Named the Barnes & Noble Book of the Year for 2023, the novel follows the residents of a small Pennsylvania town in the '20s and '30s. The New York Times calls it "a charming, smart, heart-blistering and heart-healing novel" and NPR says, "McBride looks squarely at savage truths about race and prejudice, but he also insists on humor and hope."
