Jennifer Neuhaus

Jennifer graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration and a minor in Exercise Science. She later earned a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and most recently completed a Master’s in Jurisprudence, concentrating in the field of Energy Law.

Jennifer’s early career included working in the fields of cardiac rehabilitation and corporate health promotion, which culminated with Jennifer serving as Vice President, Managed Care Products, at Mutual of Omaha. After several years in the health promotion industry, she transitioned into a career in the oil & gas industry as a part of a family-owned business. In 2003, however, she had the opportunity to merge passion with profession, and purchased Backwoods Retail and Backwoods Adventures. From 2003-2017 until its’ sale, she managed the operations of its 10 retail locations, online store and the company’s adventure travel division. She also launched Backwoods Collection, their exclusive line of clothing, luggage, and accessories in 2007.

Following its’ sale, Jennifer launched Envision Leadership Group, a boutique firm specializing in executive coaching and business consulting, and also joined Level 6 Small Business Transformation. While Jennifer’s business experience gave her invaluable insights to share with her clients, she was formally trained through IPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) as a professional coach and as an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner in 2017 further adding to her credentials.

Passions include philanthropy, nonprofit board service, travel and seeking new adventures both in her own community and across the world. Jennifer’s values include authenticity, exploration, giving back, competence, and freedom.

Jennifer lives in Austin, Texas and is married to David Neuhaus. She is also the proud mom of Tyler and Travis. Tyler, 34, is a photographer following his graduation from The Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Travis, 29, is also living in Southern California and has a career in logistics management and a graduate of St. Edwards University.
